INVITED TO CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Football League Cup, also known as the League Cup (English Cup), is a football competition in England. Like the Association Cup, it is worn with the knockout method. Unlike the Association Cup, which has 833 teams in the 2012/13 season, only 92 clubs can participate in the League Cup: 20 Premier League teams and 72 Football League teams, which organize the competition. Another difference is that the semi-finals of the League Cup are played in two stages - first game and interplay. The winner of the League Cup wins a ticket to the European League, if it did not qualify for European competition otherwise. For commercial reasons, the Cup is called the Carabao Cup.View tournament page
